Grants:

Grants such as Pell and SEOG are monies provided by the federal government to assist students pursuing their first bachelor's degree. These funds are not loans and do not have to be repaid unless the student's eligibility changes within the academic year (in which the student was awarded incorrectly) or the student withdraws from the university whithin a certain period of the semester.

  • Federal Pell Grants range from $400 to $4,731 for the academic year. This program is awarded based on financial need determined by the federal givernment. The amount awarded depends on the students's eligibility assessed through the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA).
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (SEOG) range from $200 to $4000 per academic year. Students must be enrolled for at least 6 credit hours and must be eligible for a Pell Grant. Due to limited funding awards are issued on a first come-first serve basis to eligible students.
